Why Canada

Are you looking to improve your career prospects, children's future, health, and living environment?

Then Canada is the country where you can establish your home!

Canada is reputable for its magnificent views, plentiful wildlife peace, diversity and vast spaces. Canada's landscapes are from the Rocky Mountains to the prairies. The 90% of the country's 31 million inhabitants live close to the US border, within 186 miles, leaving the majority of the land untouched. Canada's climate is not as cold all year around as some may believe, even though Hockey fans and players are equally widespread all over the country.

Canada is rich in natural resources, especially oil and natural gas; it is also a major exporter of minerals. The country is one of the world's leading producers of barley, wheat, meat and milk. Forestry and fishing are industries that make Canada well-known. Services such as banking, communication, education, insurance, represent around 75% of the economy.

Canada is the second largest country in the world after Russia with a population of only 31 million people. Its economy is what is called a mixed one, embracing the social and democratic values as it focuses on the welfare of its residents. For the fifth time Canada was ranked number one by the United Nations Human Development Index as the best country in the world to live in.

Canada is an open, young and progressive country which welcomes and brings together people with different customs and traditions, and from various cultures to share in the country’s prosperity and community life. Canada's religions include Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and others. The Canadian government accepts businesspersons and skilled workers from every part of the world.

Canada has been going through noticeable changes in its immigration. While prior to the Second World War, most immigrants came from the British Isles or Eastern Europe, since 1945, there has been an increasing numbers of southern Europeans, Asians, South Americans and people from the Caribbean islands that have enriched Canada's multicultural mosaic. Now a large proportion of the Canadian population is made of British, French, Italian, Chinese, Ukrainian, Greek, Polish, Dutch and Scandinavian descendents.

The strength of the Canadian economy is endorsed by its being a member of the prestigious Group of Eight industrialized nations as well as by its being a respected participant in the world affairs. Canada is also a member of the Commonwealth, la Francophonie, the OAS (Organization of American States) and the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) defence pact.

Canada offers its residents sound and affordable education options, excellent health care system and accessible social services, and a safe and secure environment close to its southern neighbour, which is the United States.

Canada is also famous through its musicians, actors as well as sports. The country has given many well-known actors and musicians who are reaching a higher level of recognition across the globe every day. Many Hollywood studios are producing their movies in Canada. Hockey is the most popular sport.
