Immigrating to Canada while earning a decent living in Canada as a live-in Caregiver - We make it possible for you!

The Live-In Caregiver Program is where our organization excels and is a leader on this market! Provided our many years of previous experience with this program, we can help you get a job offer as a live-in caregiver in Canada and work under this program.

A live-in caregiver is someone willing to provide care to children, the elderly or the disabled in a private household. After working two years as a live-in caregiver you can apply to be a permanent resident in Canada. We will assist you throughout the entire process as it is our goal to help you achieve your dream and establish yourself in Canada!

Services:

1. FREE Assessment
You will find out whether you are eligible for the program. If you are not, our team of specialists will advise you on how you can add to your experience or education so you can become eligible.

2. Apply for a Work Permit
A foreign national who wishes to work in Canada as a live-in caregiver must apply for a work permit before seeking entry to Canada. We will help you with the process so that you can go through the easiest way to become a Canadian.

3. Written Employer-Employee Contract
The requirement for a written contract between the employee and employer takes into consideration the unique circumstances of live-in caregivers whose eligibility for permanent residence is tied to their employment. The requirement is a measure to provide a fair working arrangement between you and your employer, and gives both parties a clear understanding of their responsibilities.

The contract defines your job duties, hours of work, salary and benefits, and outlines the employer's legal responsibilities to you, the caregiver.

We will assist you and your employer draft your contract so that you will work in Canada within the legal set standards, according to the provincial and federal Employment Standards acts.

4. Renewal of Work Permit
A live-in caregiver is authorized to work only for the employer named in the work permit. A work permit is valid for one year and must be renewed before it expires.

When applying for renewal of a work permit, we will make sure you include the required letter from your employer stating that your job as a live-in caregiver is being offered for another year. We will provide you with all the information you need for the renewal as well as with assistance to complete the process in due time.

5. Changing Employers
If you choose to change employers, we can help you obtain a new work permit naming your new employer, as the law requires it. A new signed contract with your new employer is also required when consideration is being given to your request to work for a different employer. We will make sure that gaps in your periods of employment are as little as possible and that they do not interfere with the eligibility rule for applying for your permanent residence.

6. Becoming Eligible for Permanent Resident Status
As a live-in caregiver you may apply for permanent residence after completing a minimum of two years of employment. We will make sure that your employment meets the necessary requirements so you could be eligible for Permanent Resident Status.

The two-year time period may represent work as a live-in caregiver for more than one employer and need not be without interruption, but may not represent work for more than one employer at a time.
